Moving Beyond the Cocoon: Taking Aligned Creative Action

Sometimes our creativity demands that we go inward, that we reflect, that we keep things closer to our chest while we sort through things or just attune to our own process.

But other times our creativity - and life - demands that we go beyond that.

To go beyond the caccoon, the ideating, the processing and the reflection.

To go beyond what might feel comfortable.

Beyond the perfectionism.

And to go into action.

I don't mean action for actions sake or productivity for productivity's sake.

I mean aligned action that matches what is required for our creativity, our ideas, our art to move / reach / live beyond us.

This aligns with our theme of the month - visibility - because action usually means that some part of us will be seen.

That might feel scary......and that's ok. Scary doesn't necessarily mean bad or wrong.

It might actually be the sign that it's exactly where you should be - but that is for you to discern.

I recommend watching this month's EFT video on Being Seen if you have not done so already.

So for this week, we might ask ourselves:

  • What is my relationship to taking action?

  • If I struggle with taking action, why? What do I tell myself?

  • If I feel blocked, where do I feel that block in my body?

  • What difference would taking *aligned* action make in my creativity?

  • What is one action step I could take right now, today, or this week?
