33 Things I've Learned (and am Still Learning) on my 33rd Birthday
As I reflect on the new year I am bringing in and the wild ride it's been, here are a few things I've learned or in the process of learning that I hope resonate with you and/or support you wherever you are in your journey.
Your Dreams Aren't Dead
We are not a culture that likes to look at our past; yet, our past can offer pathways to healing and ultimately the clarity and answers we are often looking for in our fast paced / future focused obsessions.
How to be Brave
In a world that is so often imposing its ideas on who we are “supposed” to be and what we are “supposed” to be doing, it is a radical act to not only discover who you really are but to then share that with the world (or at least your communities).
You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out
We as humans crave certainty and we fear the unknown. This is natural because uncertainty threatens our perception of our own safety which is a core and fundamental need (however we tend to look for safety in all the wrong places). We don’t like the liminal, the in between, the gray and so we desperately try to cling to things that we know or think we know, even if those things are clearly dying and no longer support the vision that is trying to be birthed……even if those old things are parts of of ourselves - our beliefs, our patterns, our identity.
